After struggling in losses to Deer River and Lake of the Woods, International Falls rebounded with a 52-41 win Monday at Chisholm.
It’s the Broncos’ first win against the Bluestreaks since the 2004-05 season, and the first win in six attempts under head coach Shawn Gilbert.
“It’s a good win for us. We handled their pressure pretty well,” Gilbert said.
Heaven Grinsell led the Broncos (2-2) with a team-high 14 points. Hanna Heibel added 13 points and Britni Hendrickson scored 10 points.
International Falls built up a 20-point lead in the second half and never looked back, even after struggling offensively down the stretch.
They play next on Friday at home against Cook.
