Littlefork-Big Falls had Chisholm on the ropes Thursday in Game 1, but couldn’t close and eventually lost to the Bluestreaks 3-0 (26-24, 25-13, 25-18).
“We actually had a nice little lead there in the first game and were playing really well and they were able to come back and win,” Vikings coach Kim Wimmer said. “That kind of took away our momentum and as a result we weren’t able to come back with any wins.”
The Bluestreaks (5-1) won Section 7A last season and return eyeing a repeat. The Vikings (5-1) return to action Tuesday at home against Babbitt-Embarrass. Individual match statistics were not available.
“We know we can compete with them,” Wimmer said. “Hopefully, when we see them again we know what to do differently to pull out a win.”
