Polkinghorne, Jensen exchange vows at St. Thomas Church

Abby Polkinghorne, daughter of John and Deb Polkinghorne of Littlefork, and Lt. Michael Jensen, son of Jerry and Mary Lou Jensen of International Falls, were united in marriage June 1, 2007 at St. Thomas Aquinas Church, International Falls. Fr. Roger Bergkamp, OMI presided over the ceremony. Music was performed by flutist Sarah Antanies, pianist Brittany Kolquist, and soloist Molly Burger. Readings were given by Shawna Jensen, Mike Polkinghorne, and Nancy Kolquist. Serving as the maid and matron of honor were the bride’s sisters, Megan Polkinghorne and Sara Wendt. Bridesmaids were Dana Anderson, Kelly Thingelstad, and Lindsey Imhof. Flower girls were Elise and Margaret Larson. The bride’s personal attendants were Lynn Winkel and Trista Hill. Serving as best man was the groom’s brother, Capt. Thomas Jensen. Groomsmen were Brian Trask, Lt. Andrew Dorazio, Joshua England, Lt. Alex Mullin, and Lt. Peter Kelley. Ring bearer was Thomas Jensen Jr. Ushers for the ceremony were Ben Wendt and John Larson. Military saber bearers were Lt. Mario Barrett, Lt. Daniel Coughlin, Lt. Daniel Johnson, Lt. Michael Klueber, Lt. Mark Kroger, and Lt. John “Mac” Turner. The traditional military wedding ceremony was followed by a reception in Aquinas Hall. Reception hosts and hostesses were Keith and Kathy Estabrooks, LeRoy and MaryJo Winkel, and Scott and Carol Eldien. The couple now resides in El Paso, Texas, where Abby is a pediatric registered nurse at Providence Memorial Hospital and Michael is a Lieutenant in the Air Defense Artillery division of the U.S. Army stationed at Fort Bliss.
