Turkey 101: Recipes from little gobblers

Hunt for turkeys in the woods. Take the feathers off. Put on the stove and cook at 40 degrees for 70 hours.

First we have to clean it. You let it soak in water for just a little while. Then you cut it up and then you cook it. We cook it for a little while. You can cook it at home. Then you cut it up again and then you eat it. I like it with a little salt and pepper. I like it with onions and mushrooms, too. That’s all!

My favorite way to eat turkey is to cut off all the legs and then eat it. That’s how I like doing it. My mom gets our turkey at Super One. She cooks it for 20 to 30 minutes, I think it’s 30. We have a white stove that beeps when it’s done. We don’t really like to tell time so we like a stove that beeps. My mom forgets so the beep is good. We just do Thanksgiving with just my mom and dad.

We get our turkeys from the store. My dad cooks it. First he starts the oven on low. He turns the oven off and puts salt on the turkey. He cooks it for 5 minutes. Then he cuts it and we eat it. We like to eat it with corn and potatoes, that’s all.

Mom buys the turkey at a store. She brings it to my house. She’s going to put it in the oven. She puts it in for 5 minutes. She takes it out of the oven and puts it on top of the stove. She blows on it to cool it down. Then we eat it. We like it with crackers and cookies. That’s the way I like it. We have chocolate milk with it. I like chocolate milk.

My grandma puts a thing in there that tells how high it’s supposed to be and then she puts it in the oven. The timer beeps so she knows it’s time to take the turkey out. Then she waits for awhile so it will cool down. Then she asks people what you want and you say yes or no and then she’ll give you a big jar of pickles if you say yes. Then she asks what kind of turkey. We fight over the heart of the turkey and I’ll take a turkey leg and someone else takes the wing. Then my grandma takes a wing. My mommy takes a leg or a wing. My sister, she’ll take seconds or not seconds or three seconds of food. Pickles and turkey are especially good. We have stuffing and gravy with our turkey too. That’s all. The end!

We get our turkey at the store. It’s a medium one. Then we cook it in the oven for ten minutes or nine. Mom does that thing that you put it in so it cooks good and then we eat it.

She makes a lot of stuffing to go with the turkey. She puts carrots, cauliflower and broccoli in a bowl with dip and then we eat that, too.

He has to put it on a pan then we just let it get warm. I don’t really know how long it cooks. My dad tastes it to make sure it’s done. Then we eat it.

You have to set the timer on the oven for I’d say maybe 30 minutes maybe. You take it out then you cut it up. Then you eat it. Then you wash the plates. Then you throw the bones away.

We don’t have turkey we have chickens. We have chickens and roosters. So I go and catch the chicken. My dad chops off its head. Then he goes to the garage then he has a thing that makes the feathers fly off. Then we bring it into the house and my mom bakes it. It bakes for 10 seconds. She put it in the oven and we put barbeque on it.
