Verna Lundeen, 82

Verna Lundeen passed away Wednesday, Aug. 6, 2008, at the age of 82 at the Big Fork Valley Communities. She is believed to have been the longest survivor of Progressive Supra Nuclear Palsey. Even through her struggles with (PSP), Verna lived each day with smile on her face.
Verna was born Sept. 22, 1926, to Albert and Annie Stuvland in Littlefork, Minn.
She graduated from Littlefork-Big Falls High School in 1946.
Verna worked for Honeywell in Minneapolis. She returned to Littlefork and worked as a cook’s helper at a logging camp. It was there that she met her future husband, Herb Lundeen. They were united in marriage in 1947, and spent their life in Big Falls.
Verna had four priorities in her life. Her first priority was her husband and family. This was followed by her dedication to her church, to her work and her commitment to her community.
She was preceded in death by her parents, sister, Irene, and brothers, Kenneth, Gordon, Milton and Lawrence.
Verna is survived by her husband, Herb; daughters, Becky (Mike) Stickler of Thief River Falls, Minn., and Sue Lundeen of Grand Rapids, Minn.; grandchildren, Nick Stickler of Warroad and Tanya (Aaron) Martin of Chaska, Minn.; and great-grandchildren, Kory, Michael, Kaitlyn, Carter, Karlie and Ryder.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday, Aug. 11, at Big Falls Covenant Church. Visitation will be one hour prior to the funeral service.
