Class of 1937
Falls High School Class of 1937 will meet at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Rose Garden Restaurant.

Teacher conferences
Indus School Parent-Teacher Conferences are set for 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday and 8 a.m. to noon Friday. There is no school Friday. Parents are encouraged to meet their child’s teacher.

Homecoming
The Pepfest and Homecoming Coronation will be conducted from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, not Tuesday, at Falls High School. The public is welcome.

‘Rockettes’ & Shopping
Community Education is sponsoring a bus trip to see the “Radio City Christmas Spectacular starring the Rockettes” Nov. 8 at the Target Center in Minneapolis, along with shopping at the Rosedale Mall. Cost is $105 per person. Call 283-2571, ext. 186, for more information or to register.

Movie, discussion
The public is welcome to join library staff at 6:30 p.m. tonight for the showing of the documentary “The Future We Will Create,” followed by a moderated discussion. Coffee and cookies will be provided. Contact Diane Adams at the library for more information.

Teen Gaming
Teen Gaming at the Library is planned for 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday. Teens in grades 7 and above are welcome to bring a friend or come alone to play Guitar Hero, Dance Dance Revolution, Mario Super Strikers and more.

ATV Club
The Koochiching Off Road Enthusiasts (KORE) ATV Club will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday at Rumors Up North. Interested ATV enthusiasts are encouraged and welcome to attend. Need not be a member to attend.

Book club
Rainy River Book Club will gather for dinner at 6 p.m tonight at the Holiday Inn. Discussion will be on the book “Three Cups of Tea” by Mortenson. Call 286-5289 for more information.

Refresher workshop
A ServSafe Refresher Workshop will be offered at Rainy River Community College from 1 to 5 p.m. Oct. 14 in Room H-118. Cost is $60. This four-hour training meets the requirements for food manager certification renewal required every three years by the Minnesota Department of Health. Workshop fee includes materials and certification of attendance. Call 285-2255 to register.

Elks meal
The Elks Lodge Wednesday meal will feature turkey and the trimmings at 6:30 p.m. Call early for reservations at 283-3440.

ServSafe course
A ServSafe Certification course will be offered from 1 to 5 p.m. Oct. 21 and 28 at Rainy River Community College in Room H-118. Cost is $165. This eight-hour course prepares participants for the ServSafe exam which meets the requirements for food manager certification in Minnesota. Exam follows the second class. Workshop fee includes course book, exam, grading and certification of attendance. Call 285-2255 to register.

Dementia caregivers
The dementia caregivers support group will meet at 5:30 p.m. Thursday at the Holiday Inn. Kathy Hendrickson, P.A., will speak on “Early Diagnosis of Alzheimer’s.” Guests will order from the menu.

Bingo
Persons 18 and older are welcome to play Bingo at 1 p.m. Tuesdays at Koochiching County Senior Center.

‘Celebrate Recovery’
We’ve all been hurt by other people, we’ve hurt ourselves, and we’ve hurt others. As a result, every single one of us ends up with some sort of hurt, hang-up or habit. Celebrate Recovery is a Christ-based, 12-step program and the group meets every Monday from 7 to 9 p.m. at Evangelical Covenant Church. Everyone is welcome.

The Lamplighters
The Lamplighters, an on-going women’s support group for survivors of incest and/or childhood sexual abuse, will meet from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesdays at the Sunrise Center Against Sexual Abuse, 203 Third St. Facilitator is Pam Bechik, MA in Psychology. A light meal will be provided by Domino’s Pizza prior to each group meeting. Pre-register by calling 283-9334.

Open horseshoes
Men, women and teenagers are welcome to play open horseshoes from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays at Kerry Park. No experience is necessary.
Word workshop
Rainy River Community College will present a Microsoft Word 2007 Basic Workshop Tuesdays, Oct. 14, 21 and 28 from 6 to 9 p.m. in Room SS-135. Participants will learn to master basic Word 2007 skills, including creating and editing documents; formatting text, paragraphs and documents; and using tables. The workshop would benefit those who have recently upgraded to Office 2007. Co-sponsored by the International Falls Chamber of Commerce, cost is $49 which includes a book. Business of the Day
The MN Army National Guard and Active Duty will be featured as the “Business of the Day” at the WorkForce Center located on the Rainy River Community College campus in Room SC-128 from 9 a.m. to noon Wednesday. A recruiter will be available to discuss career opportunities, benefits, and incentives available through the National Guard. The event is open to the public.

Chop suey supper
A chop suey supper will be served at 6 p.m. Tuesday at the Moose Lodge.

Class of 1963
Falls High School Class of 1963 will gather for lunch at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Holiday Inn.

Breast cancer group
The Breast Cancer Support Group will meet at noon Wednesday at the Forestland Annex in the lower level. For information, call 283-7070.

Coffee Hour
The Fifty-Five Plus Coffee Hour will begin at 9 a.m. Thursday at Evangelical Covenant Church, 1631 First Ave. E. Shawn Shofner from The Good Samaritan’s Society will be the speaker. Everyone is welcome.

Class of 1951
Falls High School Class of 1951 will father at 9 a.m. Thursday at Barney’s Family Restaurant. Class members are urged to attend. Spouses are also welcome.

Hospital retirees
Falls Memorial Hospital retirees will gather for breakfast at 8 a.m. Thursday at Barney’s Family Restaurant.

Dough arriving
A notice to parents of Bronco cross country runners that the cookie dough arrives Thursday and may be picked up between 4 and 7 p.m. at 2220 Crabtree Blvd.
