Kenneth Duncan MacKenzie, 50

Kenneth Duncan MacKenzie, age 50, of International Falls, Minn., died suddenly Saturday, Oct. 4, 2008, at his home.
He was born April 2, 1958, at Virginia, Minn. He moved to International Falls in 1988 and went to work for Bildrite.
Ken was united in marriage to the former Sandra Yvonne Baron on Sept. 2, 1989.
He presently was employed with Falls Memorial Hospital where he worked in the maintenance department. Ken was extremely proud of working for Falls Memorial Hospital; he chaired the Falls Memorial Hospital Foundation’s “Prisms” Committee.
He also was a member of the Minnesota Men’s Bowling Association; he bowled in the BCEC League.
Ken had a great passion for music, especially Bob Dylan. He enjoyed watching the Minnesota Twins and Golden Gopher Hockey. He loved to tell stories around a campfire as well as fish and chop wood. Taking care of his family, friends, and pets were always his top priority in life. He so much enjoyed attending his children’s sporting events and sharing in all the special moments of their lives.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Mabel MacKenzie; grandparents, Peter and Amanda (Porter) Paul and Duncan and Lily MacKenzie.
He will be dearly missed by his loving wife, Sandy MacKenzie, sons, Amis and Matthew MacKenzie, and daughter, Kyla Mae (Punkin Pie) MacKenzie, all of International Falls; father, Donald MacKenzie of International Falls; sisters, Lori (Gary) Potter of International Falls, Donna (Dennis) Lehtinen of Finland, Minn., and Cheryl Lickteig of Atlantic, Iowa; and brother, Rod (special friend, Jackie) MacKenzie of International Falls; numerous nieces and nephews; in-laws, John (Sonny) and Yvonne Baron, Allen Baron and Roxanne (Randy) Little.
Visitation will be one hour prior to the 11 a.m. funeral service today, Wednesday, Oct. 8, at Faith United Church of Christ.
Interment will be at Forest Hill Cemetery.
If so desired, in memoriam donations would be preferred to the Falls Memorial Hospital Foundation or the American Cancer Society in lieu of flowers.
