Harvest Bazaar
Zion Lutheran Church Women will sponsor the annual Harvest Bazaar Tuesday at the church. Featured will be a bake sale, crafts and good, used treasures. Supper will be served from 4:30 to 7 p.m., with a free-will offering. Matching funds will be provided by Thrivent for Lutherans. Everyone is welcome to attend.

Catholic Daughters
Catholic Daughters of the Americas will gather for an anniversary meeting at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at the St. Thomas Hospitality Room.

Retired electricians
Retired Boise Cascade electricians will meet at 9 a.m. Wednesday at Barney’s Family Restaurant.

Parents Night
Parents and family members of the Girls Swimming and Diving Team are welcome to Parents Night Tuesday, vs Babbitt-Embarrass. The meet begins at 4:30 p.m. Parents will be introduced following diving. Cake and coffee/punch will be served to swimmers and parents at Falls High School cafeteria following the meet.

Class of 1941
Falls High School Class of 1941 will gather for a noon luncheon Wednesday at the Holiday Inn.

Saddle club
Rainy River Riders Saddle Club will meet at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Dairy Queen. Major topic of interest will be planning the year-end banquet. Members are encouraged to attend to contribute banquet input.

Flu shot clinic
A flu shot clinic for children only is planned for 1 to 4 p.m. Friday at the Public Health Department Office.

FHS Yearbooks
Reservations will again be taken for 2008-09 Falls High School Yearbooks during the week of Oct. 27-31 in the concession booth during all three lunches. A $20 non-refundable deposit is required to reserve a copy of a non-personalized book. In order to be guaranteed a yearbook in May, books must be pre-ordered.

Bingo
Persons 18 and older are welcome to play Bingo at 1 p.m. Tuesdays at Koochiching County Senior Center.

‘Celebrate Recovery’
We’ve all been hurt by other people, we’ve hurt ourselves, and we’ve hurt others. As a result, every single one of us ends up with some sort of hurt, hang-up or habit. Celebrate Recovery is a Christ-based, 12-step program and the group meets every Monday from 7 to 9 p.m. at Evangelical Covenant Church. Everyone is welcome.

The Lamplighters
The Lamplighters, an on-going women’s support group for survivors of incest and/or childhood sexual abuse, will meet from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesdays at the Sunrise Center Against Sexual Abuse, 203 Third St. Facilitator is Pam Bechik, MA in Psychology. A light meal will be provided by Domino’s Pizza prior to each group meeting. Pre-register by calling 283-9334.

Open horseshoes
Men, women and teenagers are welcome to play open horseshoes from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays at Kerry Park. No experience is necessary.
‘What about me?
An on-going support group for partners of survivors of sexual abuse victims will meet from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesdays at the Sunrise Center Against Sexual Abuse, 203 Third St. Facilitator is Brad Kokesh. A light meal will be provided at the beginning of each group meeting. Pre-register by calling 283-9334.

Fifty Five Plus
Fifty-Five Plus of Evangelical Covenant Church, 1631 First Ave. E., will gather for a potluck at 6 p.m. tonight. Ted Francis will be singing. Everyone is welcome to attend.

Music presentation
“Borderland Pioneers” will be featured from 10:30 a.m. to noon Tuesday during the lunch at Koochiching County Senior Center.

Sandwich supper
A Soup and Sandwiches Supper will be served at 6 p.m. Tuesday at the Moose Lodge.

Pain management
The Chronic Pain Management Support Group will meet from 1 to 3 p.m. Tuesday in the Community Room of the Duluth Clinic-International Falls. Topic of discussion will be “Chronic Pain — Spirituality and Prayer,” presented by Pastor Sue Hamly, the Rev. Lynn Naeckel, Pastor Steve Olson and Pastor Glenn Leaf. There is no charge. Complimentary refreshments will be provided. People with chronic pain, family, caregivers and friends are encouraged to attend. Meeting facilitators are Kathy Ellsworth and Laura Clark.

Parents Night
Bronco senior football players, cheerleaders and their parents will be honored at the Wednesday game when the Broncos host Cloquet. A reception will follow the game at Falls High School cafeteria for all team members and their parents. Parents of varsity players, cheerleaders and managers will be admitted to the game free.
