Travis Shold scored two goals and Jim Mason, Eddy Rognerud and Tom Lynch added one apiece as the Broncos beat the Fort Frances Muskies 5-1 Saturday night at Bronco arena.

Lee Tufvander is one of the reasons why Littlefork-Big Falls basketball fans have their hopes building for another District 29 championship. He is averaging 24 points per game on season.
The Table Toppers had their annual Christmas dinner party at the home of Mrs. Loretta Gross. Co-hostesses were Mrs. Chris Bedessem, Mrs. Dorothy Bolin and Mrs. Margaret Schneider.
Mr. and Mrs. Claud Laird returned from a two-week trip. They visited their son and family, Dr. and Mrs. Larry Laird at Three Forks, Mont., and saw for the first time their new grandson, who was born on Nov. 9.
Jobs Daughters Bethel 14, with Honored Queen Linda Chovan presiding, initiated into membership two candidates on Dec. 9. The new members are Nancy Thompson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Clifford Thompson, and Brenda Anderson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Edward Anderson.

1. John E. Ruberg, son of Mr. and Mrs. Peter Ruberg, has received his first class private rating in the U.S. Army.
The So and So Club met at the home of Mrs. Sam Stromstad, South International Falls. Christmas gifts were exchanged and refreshments served. Members of the club and their husbands called Sunday on newlyweds, Mr. and Mrs. Ted Stolberg, 1105 Seventh Ave.
William “Tim” Holt, son of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Holt, 121 12th St., will participate in the pageant, “The Christmas Story” to be given today at St. Cloud State College.
A recipe by Mrs. Myrle Erlich, the former Myrle Solomon of the Falls, was featured in Mary Hart’s column in Tuesday’s Minneapolis Tribune. Her recipe was for Christmas Seal cookies, a white rolled cookie cut in shapes of the heads of the boy and girl on the Christmas Seal.

Mr. and Mrs. James Vergona, Ranier, are the parents of a daughter, Judith Lynn, born today in Littlefork Hospital. She weighed 6 pounds, 3 ounces.
In celebration of the holiday season, Mr. and Mrs. James Otness, 10th Ave. and Riverside, entertained several friends Saturday afternoon at an open house.
Alfred Paulson, Russell Hall, and Fred Grover, Minnesota and Ontario Paper Company employees, won prizes totaling $100 in Mando’s special Suggestion Award contest, company officials announced today.
