Clarence Everett Dahlberg

Clarence Everett Dahlberg was born March 12, 1932, to Hans and Jennie Dahlberg in Eland Township.

He graduated from Kelliher High School in 1950 and then entered the Air Force where he served his country, proudly, for four years becoming a staff sergeant.

He married Mary Jean Hunt December 15, 1962. From that marriage came Devonne Jean and Erik Jon.

He enjoyed his time spent with family and friends.

His passion for deer hunting, bird hunting, and fishing followed him throughout his life. He lived life to the fullest and enjoyed carpentry and refurbishing the home in which he grew up along with his younger sister, Delphine. He also had an older brother, Lenex, and three older sisters, Evelyn, Mildred, and Margaret.

He worked for North Central Airlines in International Falls then later at the Taconite mines on the Iron Range besides helping his Dad in his logging business. Then after his marriage to Mary he was employed by United Airlines for 27 years and resided in Eagan, MN, until his retirement when he moved to his birth home in Kelliher.

He passed away on December 14, 2007, after battling Congestive Heart Failure for a number of months.

He is survived by his loving wife, Mary, and two children, Devonne (James) Bruce of Garland, TX, and Erik (Kim) Dahlberg, Farmington, MN; sister, Del (Ed) Bernath of International Falls; brother, Lenex (Ulla) of Tacoma, WA; and five grandchildren, Courtney, Cassandra, Cameron, Kaylee, and Korey; 12 nephews and nieces and 24 great nephews and nieces. He was particularly close to his nephews, Craig Bernath and family and Gary Bernath and family.

Memorial services were held Monday, December 17, 2007, at Our Saviours Lutheran Church, Kelliher, MN, with Rev. Jill Torgenson presiding.
