The community has been invited to a meeting with the Falls school district to give input on ways to improve the district’s emergency response plan.

The meeting will take place at 6:30 p.m. Thursday in the Falls High School cafeteria.

The meeting is being conducted in response to two threats called into the school last week that resulted in the evacuation of the schools Wednesday and cancellation of classes Thursday.

Falls High School Principal Tim Everson and Jerry Hilfer, principal at the district’s two elementary schools, issued the invitation to the community.

“Several meetings have been held this past week with law enforcement officials, school administrators, and school faculty and staff members to discuss the school’s emergency response plan in light of the threats received last week,” said a news release. “We want to invite parents and community members to also give their input on ways we can improve our emergency response plans.”
