Josie Lee Johnson, Chisholm, and Steven Allen Samson, Chisholm, announce their engagement and forthcoming marriage.

The bride-to-be is the daughter of Karen Johnson, Chisholm, and Douglas (Janine Eckre) Trappe, International Falls. She is the granddaughter of David and Sandy Trappe, Littlefork, Charles K. and Josephine Johnson, International Falls, and Delores Eckre and the late Gordon Eckre, Frazee.

The groom-elect is the son of Donnie and Kolleen Samson, St. Cloud. He is the grandson of Kenneth and Shirley Samson, Hibbing, and Wanda Fort, Hibbing.

Josie is a 2005 graduate of Chisholm High School and graduated from Hibbing Community College in 2007. She is employed as a pharmacy technician at Wal-Mart, Hibbing.

Steven is a 2004 graduate of Cherry High School and graduated from Hibbing Community College in 2006. He is employed by L & M Radiator, Hibbing.

The April 5, 2008, ceremony will take place at the Baptist Church, Chisholm, officiated by Pastor Kevin Erickson. Josie’s wedding day is also celebrated by her maternal great-grandmother, 1920, maternal grandmother, 1956, maternal aunt, 1980, and maternal cousin, 1996.
