The Littlefork-Big Falls school district has hired three new teachers.
Approved Wednesday was the hiring of Nicole Kennedy as a full-time kindergarten teacher; and Jeff Raboin in the position of half-time social studies teacher. Dean Lindstrom was hired was hired to teach math, half time.
The L-BF board will continue to advertise for three openings in the following positions: Spanish, counselor and home economics.
The L-BF Tutoring Program initiated by Angie Williams to provide assistance to students in various learning areas will end May 1. The program was highly successful, according to Superintendent Fred Seybert. Approximately 15 to 20 students were guided by the tutoring program.
Six new members were added to the National Honor Society at L-BF. They are: Cory Ecklund, Jered Ecklund, Mason Imhof, Justin Franz, Halley Gates and Hannah Hell.
April L-BF students of the month recognized at the board meeting are high school student Heather Williamson, and junior high school student Austin Burmeister.
The L-BF board approved the adoption of the 2008-2009 Minnesota State High School League Resolution.
