By Journal Staff
Created 04/30/2008 - 1:20pm

The Whispering Pines Quilt Guild will hold its third annual quilt show Friday and Saturday at the Family Life Center of the Evangelical Church in the Falls.
The show will feature the special butterfly quilt made by the guild for the North Star Hospice in conjunction with the butterfly release fund raising event. The creation will be offered for raffling and is a donation from the guild.
The annual show is again a fund raising event for the Falls Hunger Coalition to which all proceeds from the show will be donated. Admission to the show will be by either a non-perishable food item or a monetary donation.
Quilts made by community members will be displayed.
The guild is also donating quilts to the Quilts of Valor project; the Community Baby Shower; as well as to local women receiving chemotherapy for breast cancer at Falls Memorial Hospital. These quilts will be presented for viewing at the show.
There will also be a special “Kids Can Quilt” feature presentation of quilts made by children age 16 and younger.
The hours for the show are 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Friday and 10 a.m. to 5 pm. on Saturday.
