I'm heading out in a few minutes and am aware that the big agenda item at our house these days is the American Idol final three. Call me an elitist professor if you like, but I get sucked in every year and have my opinions: I would rank them from top to bottom -- David Cook; Syesha Mercado; Young Perry Como kak David Archuleta. The first two have found their voice and seem confident with that voice -- alternative rocker, broadway diva. Young David is a talent contest guy who murdered, in my opinion, Robbie Williams' Angels [For a good time, watch Joss Stone/Robbie do this as a duet on youtube].
Of course, the real reason to watch tv these days is the NBA playoffs. I am a fan of any team that has a mix of Americans and International players -- it makes for some very interesting basketball. Utah, LA, and San Antonio all fit that bill. I do not watch NHL hockey on TV unless it is on CBC.
So don't expect me to reply tonight when I get attacked by roj or one of his minions. [i almost typed ilk -- that is a trigger word for him].
