An update on the search for a new superintendent in the Falls school district is scheduled when the Falls School Board meets at 5 p.m. Monday in the Falls High School cafeteria.
Superintendent Don Langan is scheduled to discuss interviews and the transition between superintendents during his administrative report at the end of the meeting. Langan announced he would retire from the full-time superintendent position when the school board approves a new superintendent.
The board is also scheduled to hear a presentation on the Education Foundation and Purple Pride, which raise money for the school district, and to hear a presentation on library facilities. The board is also scheduled to tour the metal shop facilities.
An open forum is scheduled during the meeting.
The board is expected to approve the renewal of the following probationary teachers: Jamie Bodette, Jay Boyle, Derek Dowty, Colin Bruce Elson and Nicholas Schoenecker. The board is also expected to grant tenure to the following: Andrew Fougner, Thane Grewatz, Don Rolando and Laurie Youso.
A reception for the newly tenured staff is scheduled to follow the board meeting Monday.
