2008 Bronco 5K
The 2008 Bronco 5K Run/Walk and Kid’s Half Mile at the Falls High School Track, sponsored by the Bronco Track Boosters, is set for July 4. Registration is from 8:15 to 8:45 a.m. The 5K Run begins at 9, the 5K Walk immediately follows the Run, and the Kid’s Half Mile Starts at 10. Registration forms are available at Falls High School Community Education Office, Curves and Northsite, and are due Wednesday. Completed forms may be mailed to: 344 County Road 24, International Falls, MN 56649 or dropped off at the high school office. For more information, call 285-9598.

Pain management group
The Chronic Pain Management Support Group will meet from 1 to 3 p.m. Tuesday in the Community Room of the Duluth Clinic-International Falls. “Pain Management and Chiropractics” will be presented by Dr. Dean Cowman of Rainy Lake Chiropractic Center. Meetings are free and for anyone dealing with chronic pain issues.

Cancer society
The American Cancer Society welcomes current volunteers and those interested in becoming a part of the American Cancer Society to a volunteer meeting from 5 to 6 p.m. Monday in the downstairs classroom of Falls Memorial Hospital. Angele Hartell, Community Relations staff partner, will provide ACS updates and discuss mission advancement for Koochiching County, as well as reviewing and planning for Relay For Life and other activities to diminish suffering from cancer, and prevent and eliminate cancer. Open horse show
Littlefork Saddle Club will host an Open Horse Show and NBHA Barrels beginning at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Littlefork Fairgrounds. A copy of current Negative Coggins is required for all horses. Concessions will be available. The public is welcome to attend.

Kabetogama AA
An AA meeting is planned for 7:30 p.m. Saturdays downstairs at the Kabetogama Methodist Church. Call 218-875-3048 for more information.

Snowmobile club
Beginning in July, the Rainy Lake Sportfishing Club will meet the third Wednesday of each month for its monthly board member meetings.

Meatloaf supper
A meatloaf supper will be served at 6 p.m. Tuesday at the Moose Lodge.

Polka service
A polka service is planned for 10 a.m. Sunday at Littlefork Lutheran Church. Cloquet resident Lorren Lindevig will conduct the service. The public is welcome to attend.
