International Falls Police Department
Theft: Jerry L. Stevenson, 720 Eighth St., reported Wednesday that tools, valued at $1,200, were taken form a locked ice house located on someone else’s property.
Dog bite: Falls Memorial Hospital reported Thursday that it was treating Layni St. Peter, 4, for a dog bite.
Hit and run: Diane M. Peterson, 3075 Town Road 225, reported Friday that her vehicle had been struck in the Duluth Clinic parking lot, 2501 Keenan Drive.
Burglary: Daniel J. Ames, 1306 10th Ave., reported that his residence had been burglarized. A new shotgun, scopes, knives and fishing tackle was taken.

Koochiching County Sheriff’s Office
Theft: Daniel I. Alverson reported Friday that a PS2 player, controller and memory card, valued at $520, was taken from a camper, location unknown.
Theft: Andrew C. Wagner, 2125 County Road 137, reported Friday that two 12-inch chop saws, valued at $750 each, were taken from the end of his driveway.
Criminal vehicular operation: A 17-year-old male was arrested after striking Matthew H. Isensee, 1801 Third Ave. W., on County Road 112 Friday. Charges pending against the juvenile involve refusal of a driving while intoxicated test, motor vehicle theft, second degree assault and criminal vehicular operation.
Collision: A vehicle driven by Amanda J. Wellen, 24, 3732 County Road 98 S., struck a vehicle driven by Christopher L. Granrud, 35, 2441 County Road 136, in the parking lot of Rainy Lake Visitor Center, 1797 Town Road 342.

St. Louis County Sheriff’s Office
Collision: The Sheriff’s Office is investigating a two-vehicle head-on collision that occurred on the Partridge River bridge on Highway 110 between Aurora and Hoyt Lakes at 4:10 p.m. Thursday. Nicole Mount, 33, Hoyt Lakes, driver of a vehicle, was airlifted to St. Mary’s Hospital. Ardeen Anderson, 77, Hoyt Lakes, driver of a vehicle, was transported to St. Mary’s Hospital by ambulance. Neither had life-threatening injuries.
Two juvenile passengers in one of the vehicles were not injured. Officers credit air bags and the use of seat belts for minimizing injuries to the occupants of both vehicles, according to the Sheriff’s Office.

Cook Police Department
Assault: Anthony J. Twining, 26, Sauk Rapids, was found by a St. Louis County deputy sheriff lying on a sidewalk along Highway 53 in Cook Friday. The male had head injuries from an alleged assault. He was transported to the Cook hospital and later air lifted to St. Mary’s in Duluth.

Ontario Provincial Police
Assault: Members of the Fort Frances Detachment of the OPP were called at 8:30 a.m. Sunday to investigate an alleged stabbing in the 600 block of Kings Highway, Fort Frances. Members of the OPP Canine Unit and the OPP Emergency Response Unit were called to assist with the investigation.
A 73-year-old Fort Frances male was transported to LaVerendrye Hospital, where he was treated and released.
A canine track in the west end of Fort Frances was conducted in an effort to locate a suspect.
