To the editor,
I recently stayed in one of the most beautiful places on God's green earth, International Falls, Minn.!
I am a veteran of the war in Iraq and have been to many countries around the world in my time in the service, but never had been to place more scenic and relaxing.
Shortly after I got home I opened up my bank statement to discover that I had been charged by Holiday Inn for my hotel room when I had prepaid. I was immediately flustered, as I realized that I would be coming up short on rent due to this mishap, but soon I calmed down. Everyone makes mistakes right? I was sure that when I called them, they would do everything they could to remedy the situation.
But I was wrong. I was transfered to a machine, and when I called back again I was given a number to the company wide help line whom I called and was than promptly transfered back to the hotel.
I am still without a response, and out a hefty sum of money which I had depended on for my rent this month.
I suppose it is karma that such a beautiful trip needs an equally horrible ending.
